Ahmed Shah, reigned during first quarter of 15th century A.D., founded Ahmedabad. It is now turned into a Textile city on the banks of the river Sabarmati.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhisabarmati ashramtook all important decisions from 1917 till Civil Disobedience Movement (Dandi March) in 1930 at Sabarmati Ashram. Located in at serene and peaceful place, reminiscent of early 20th century village atmosphere amidst bustling city. It houses Gandhi Museum, was founded after Independence.  Evening Prayer starts at 6.30 pm everyday, which was the part of Gandhi’s routine during his stay at Ashram.

Ahmedabad has got rich medieval history. The city is interspersed with numerous Indo-Sarasenic structures.

Gandhinagar: Administrative capital of Gujarat. It houses Akshardham Temple and on the way to Gandhinagar there is an ISKCON Temple.
