UNESCO World Heritage site is located at an altitude of 6700 ft and is famous for its Tea and Himalayan Railway Toy Train.

Toy Train:India, West Bengal, Darjeeling, Batasia Loop, Steam train of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway More than 100 year old Steam Engine chugs to keep the Nostalgic feeling among visitors. The Railway line is an engineering Marvel in the history of Indian Railways.

Chowrasta: Main market place of the Mall Road. The Brabourne park is the special attraction with pleasant view.

Dhirdham Temple:Darjeeling dhirdham temple Built in the year 1939 and modelled on the lines of Pashupatinath temple in Nepal.

Tiger Hill: With over 8400 ft height provides a pleasant view of Kanchanjunga peak. Senchal Lake is located near Tiger Hill.

Darjeeling batasia loop1 It is a Railway loop where Toy Train makes a 360 degree turn. A war memorial in memory of soldiers is located there.

Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre: Known for its Handicrafts.

Zoological Park:Darjeeling zoo redpanda Named after former West Bengal Governor Padmaja Naidu. Zoological Park is unique with Tibetan wolf, Red Panda, snow leopard.

White Water Rafting: Rafting in the waters of Teesta river is a memorable one but utmost caution is needed as the River is ferocious during its flooding time.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: Oldest mountaineering institute carries out various mountaineering courses.

Other important tourplaces are Lloyd Botanical Garden, Rock Garden, Peace Pagoda, Ropeway between Darjeeling and Rangit valley, Roy Villa, Raj Bhavan,Step Aside, Monasteries.

Best time to visit this tourplace is from March to June and from October to December. Winter is heavy here.

How to Reach Darjeeling: Nearest Airport is Bagdogra. Darjeeling has Narrow Gauge Rail link with New Jalpaiguri. Buses and sharing taxis ply from Siliguri.

    Seen the Roy Villa, Darjeeling. Now under Ramakrishna Mission, where Sister Nivedita passed away is a nice well maintained spot to visit and meditation
